The Hurt Locker

The Change TRICK

Our current behaviors and reactions are driven by our past impactful experiences. The tools we created from these experiences to protect ourselves may now cause damage to our current interactions and relationships with others. The Hurtlocker helps us identify why we behave the way we do and starts the process of healing and change.

We often use the word "PROCESS" when something hapopens and we aren't ready to respond. Most people don't process effectively and end up creating more disparities for themselves in the form of anxiety, depression, anger and stress. The change TRICK gives us the steps to process impactful events and keeping them out of our Hurt Lockers. TRICK stands for Think, Re-visualize, Integrate, Change, and Knowledge.

The TRAP Method Comprehensive Treatment Modality for Individuals

The TRAP Method Approach

The TRAP Method is a comprehensive, trauma-focused treatment model that unfolds in two key phases:

6 months of intensive therapy
6 months of guided maintenance and integration

What’s Included:

Assessment (2–3 sessions):
We begin with a thorough intake process to gather history, set clear goals, and develop a personalized treatment plan.

Brainspotting:
A powerful trauma processing technique that locates and accesses unprocessed “brainspots” in the subconscious. This helps to detach traumatic memories from the negative beliefs and reactions that often control our current behaviors.

The TRAP Method:
Our proprietary approach addresses the formative events that shaped our protective behaviors and dysfunctional patterns—what we call our “weapons of mass destruction.” These defense mechanisms once served to protect us, but now stand in the way of healthy growth. The TRAP Method helps dismantle them and rewire our response systems.

Hypnotherapy/Hypnosis:
This modality supports the development of new, healthier perspectives by accessing the subconscious mind and reinforcing positive beliefs.

Add-On Program:

TRAP for Relationships:
This supplementary program focuses on repairing and healing relationships that have been affected by trauma-based responses and harmful behavioral patterns. It fosters awareness, communication, and connection by addressing how our defenses have impacted others.
